A DAY AT GODS LAKE LODGE

The day starts at 6:00 a.m. with hot coffee delivered to your cabin. This gives you time to wash the sleep from your eyes and enjoy watching the day come alive. Step out into the fresh morning air and the stillness of a Gods Lake morning.

Breakfast is served at 7:00 a.m. Pancakes, fresh eggs, french toast, sausages, bacon, hash browns, and fresh homemade bread as well as hot and cold cereal. This hearty meal will give you the energy you need for the day of Canada fishing that awaits you.

7:45 a.m. the time everyone has been waiting for, time to head for the dock. Grab your rod, tackle box, refreshment cooler and head for your boat. Waiting there is your guide to take you to the mornings first hot spot.

After a morning full of fish, beautiful sights and sounds of Gods Lake; it's time for lunch, one of the high lights of the day. Fresh fish fillets from the mornings catch cooked over an open fire along with fried potatoes, beans, fresh bread and all the extra's. As your guide cooks up a meal fit for a king, you can walk along the shoreline casting for that big one that may be just around the corner or you can sit on the shoreline taking in the beautiful scenery.

Enjoy the sites and sounds of bald eagles soaring over head, the campfire crackling as the delicious aroma from frying pans drift through the air. This is what to expect at a Gods Lake "Shore Lunch". After lunch it 's time to head back to more great Canadian fishing action.

Its been a great day of Canadian fishing, however, the sun is getting lower in the western sky and it's time to head in. Your guide still fully navigates your boat between islands, around sunken reefs and rocks giving you a spectacular view of this beautiful wilderness. As you approach the fishing lodge, you can't help but think of all the fish you caught and how you can't wait to tell the story of the big one that didn't get away. You arrive back at the fishing lodge around 5:00 p.m. The minute you arrive at the dock, the story telling starts. It's a great time of day you can hang around the dock, and check out the other fisherman's catch compare notes on what lures are producing the best. Then whenever you like, you can head up to your cabin for a hot shower or maybe just lounge around till dinner.

Between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. at the main lodge, you will dine in spacious comfort with ample space and a large stone fireplace to keep things warm and cozy. You will feast on home cooked meals of roast beef, ham, turkey, roast pork, and steak. All with a full compliment of side dishes. All served in ample portions and seconds are never a problem.

After a hearty meal, you can retire to the lounge to swap the days stories with fellow fishermen. With a hot cup of coffee or a cool refreshment you can renew old friendships and forge new ones. All the while listen to the tales get bigger and bigger. When you have had enough for one day, you can slip away to your cabin for a good nights sleep.
